When I lost my Email

On February 23rd I lost my Email. I did not realize that until a couple of days. I just thought that the rest of the world had just gone to sleep. Neither were there any messages from saikors group nor anywhere else. That was exactly the time I was waiting in anticipation for positive reaction to my appeal for help for two unfortunate girls. There was total silence. The silence was so loud that it could move our tectonic plate a few feet further towards China. Then I knew that there was something amiss. But I could not figure out what was wrong. Poor neurons in my brains vibrated so much that I had a headache. Due to sheer helplessness I downed some pints of rum and went to bed.
The next morning I did not want to trouble my neurons. I checked my mail.
Blank.
I tried to send myself a mail.
No chance.
I tried to send myself a mail from other Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo accounts. But they are going into oblivion. Then I remembered that someone told me that to fix a problem with your computer, you just have to shut it down and restart. I did it once, twice, thrice. But still my Email account was acting dead. I was totally frustrated. Could it be software problem? Or, a hardware problem, man-made problem or just an act of GOD.

To this point it is a fact, now allow me take you to a fictitious world.
As a last resort I enter the Three-Town police station to register a complaint. The station was recently rebuilt with all modern concepts. It is a three storied building and is architecturally well built and pleasing. It is even named “Police Plaza”. I had my own apprehensions. “What is the use, it is the same kakhi clad police inside” I thought as I walked inside the perfectly maintained lawns and pathways. I found the reception counter empty and many people sitting in chairs fixed to the floor in neat rows.  So, I had the time to stroll around and see how a modern police station looks.
The ground floor had a conference hall adjacent to the lobby and many small rooms with hanging name boards of the various officers.
The first floor is actually a cluster of small rooms with name boards displaying ‘Homicide’, ‘family matters’, ‘burglary’ ‘Traffic offences’ ‘Land & Real estate disputes’ etc. I read all the boards but started wondering where a loss of Email fits in?
The second floor had larger rooms with high security iron doors and surveillance cameras. These are cells, some of them are air conditioned and with foam mattresses meant for our dear netas who chose to be arrested to gain more votes. I was so engrossed in the observation that I had a scare of my life to see someone standing right behind me. Goose pimples all over the body.
“What are you doing here?” she thundered
“I, I, am just going around seeing your police station”
“You are not supposed to be here, please go and wait in the lobby” she said with a sweet authoritative voice.
She did not look like a police woman. She was strikingly beautiful, wearing a salwar kameze with a dark maroon top and a contrasting blue pallu. Her thick wavy black hair parted at the center cascading down to her shoulders. Her eyes large, like two sapphires perfectly set by a magician under thin eyebrows. Her lips, darker shade of pink and perfectly curved. She was slender and everything about her was gorgeous. She was like a fairy.
She noticed the strange look in my face, and as a lady used to such glares, adjusted her pallu revealing her cleavage a wee bit. She walked away like a queen. Her stunning features had some perfection to everything. She looked like the most beautiful woman in the universe. Wondering what she is doing in a police station, I went down to the lobby.
When my turn came, I went to the receptionist manned by a grizzly bear like a man with huge mustaches and even thicker eyebrows.
“What’s your problem?” he growled.
“I lost my Email” I said with a face that cannot be straighter.
“What?”
“I lost my Email”
At this point he dropped his pen and wiped his moustache with his palm like the villain in Godfather III.
“You go to the cyber crime wing in the 3rd floor” and handed me a piece of paper with my case number CC-813.
Going to the 3rd floor excited me, just in case, I can have a look at that gorgeous lady just once more. Walked past to the end to find a board ‘Cyber Crime” and under that a smaller board read Miss Alima Mahmood, B.tech, LLB.
The door was open and there she was, Miss Alima looked even more stunning in the bright light above her. She turned towards me from her computer screen and her nose stud glistened as if to rekindle a spark deep inside me. She showed her slender arm indicating me to sit.
“Yes?” her voice like Razia Sultan’s ‘Aap jaisa koyi nahin’.
“I lost my Email”
This brought a sweetest smile revealing a dimple on her left cheek.
“I want it back very badly, madam… eer miss”
“Give me more details” she urged. I told her everything, about our group and how I appealed to help two very unfortunate girls and just then pooof, my email is gone.
Now she understood that I was serious. Her smile vanished to a professional puff of lips. She made some notes on her pad.
“Mr. Ravi, for such crimes to be investigated, we have to establish a motive. No one would like to steal your Email without a motive, motive is the reason for someone to perform such illegal act, and it would answer the ‘why’, the intent that comes from the darkest chapter of the darkest minds. If we can get the motive we can get the culprit”

Motive? What motive will anyone have to steal my Email? I cannot even think of the darkest of minds to have such intent. I was looking at her wax like face and she at me for quite a while.
“Think Mr.Ravi, in your case the motives can be, just fun, hatred or even business rivalry.”
“No, business rivalry is ruled out, because there is no business involved here.”
“Fun? Think harder and give me some leads that I can start, however remote you might think they are”

Who else can have fun by stealing my Email than either Sekhar (547) or DSK(794), individually or combined.
“Yes I have two people in that category, U.Sekhar and D.S.Kumar”
“Give me more details about them, are they computer savvy?”
“Sekhar, I am not sure, because he can type a long letter with one finger and always calls his secretary ‘Srinivas how do I save this?’”
“But DSK is o.k. he sends naughty emails to his own group of friends, in which I am one. That makes me very cautious while opening his mails when anyone is around”
“Dsk has many friends in Microsoft, he is very close to Y.V.Prasad’s son working for Google. Please take a closer look at this guy” I suggested.

“Give me more details about them, their mail ids and the like” she goaded.
“Then let us come to hatred.”
Again we looked at each other for a long time, her bindi was an exact match to her dress, and she lowered her eyes first.
“I have two people in my mind who can hate me. For whatever trivial reasons, they are G.K and Niranjan”
“GK and I hail from the same village, for which people make fun of. He doesn’t seem to be very computer savvy, because he is content by forwarding mails from a single source, though interesting they are.”
“And we can zero in on Niranjan, he hates me alright and even holds the administrative rights for my Email.”
“There we go, we have a solid lead now” she almost jumped in anticipation.
“Now you please leave me your number and I shall get back to you as soon as I have something”
“Thank you Miss Alima” I said and rose extending my arm by habit. She did too. That soft feathery touch sent electrons and protons to and fro.
Now, I have to think of some way to end this episode. Right now I have no idea, but I assure you a good ending soon. Please be patient. Because, finally no one mentioned above are anyway involved. It is my domain name handler who is responsible. I just receive a message from GNA Srinivas wishing me a happy Ugadi, I might include him too in the future plot.
