New Delhi: April 1 2010

Prime Minister Rahul Gandhi, the youngest Prime minister ever in India has called for a cabinet meeting. The meeting is chaired by the Congress president Mrs. Sonia Gandhi. The meeting was delayed for 15 minutes because our Deputy Prime Minister Priyanka Gandhi and her husband, the Defense Minister Robert Vadhera had to drop their children in their uncle Quotrochi’s house.

This was a very important meeting and the media in a couple of hundreds are waiting to capture the result or the outcome of the meeting.

First Night at School

Dear Saikors,
Very recently, I was in an Intensive care Unit, more precisely an ICCU. The Doctors had some problems with my heart and put me in there.
My protests that I can walk were turned down and I was very embarrassed, when I was taken on a stretcher into a room, the AC was purring, the one bed was neatly laid in fresh white sheets. But the room had a repulsive distinct chemical smell.

Puli Raja

Dear Saikors,

I have a confession to make. Where else can I speak out frankly and confess that I had sinned, but to our Saikorian family? I made a terrible mistake. At this age, I should have not even thought of it. But it just happened. There was no second chance. Now it clearly shows on the screen that I have “AIDS”
Just one mistake and I am doomed. Doomed with my family, I can no longer be as free with them as before. I lost all contacts with them. Now I have nothing in common with them. I can’t reach out to them as before.
It is a depressing feeling of a ‘let down’. Life really sucks.
I should have shown some restraint at that moment. My life was going on smooth till that very moment. Now my mind and the address book is a total blank. I lost everything that I cherished. The sweet memories that I stored are no longer there. It is a similar feeling of some one who lost everything he had after his house is gutted down in a fire.

Saikorian Nagar

Dear Saikors,
This is a wonderful investment opportunity for all Saikorians. We, at Vizag chapter have taken lot of pains in making this happen. It was a team effort. Frankly, my contribution to this project was very little as I did not believe in its success. But it did materialize and now it is official and I am authorized to inform every Saikorian about it through this media.
We have managed to secure a piece of land exclusively for Saikorians. The extent of this land is around 250 acres. The location of this land is not very far from where we live, of course in this modern age of fast travel, we can get to it in no time.

Humor in Life

Humour in Life.
When I was a small kid, we kids would gather around the playground and then at the designated time, would all run around it as fast as we could. The child who ran around the most number of times won.
That sounds like a great game. But who won? We didn’t know!
Do you ever get so caught up in your goal that you forget to enjoy the process? It's the process of doing things that's important.
Once, I used to sit at the bedside of a dying friend, while he reviewed his life. It was sad when he looked back and realized he had missed opportunities in his life because he was focused on the wrong things.
Oscar Wilde said, "Life is too important to be taken seriously."
It is all about the balance of our focus.

World Cup final

The World Cup Final did not evoke much interest in me. Maybe, because of the hype and hoopla generated for the semis with Pakistan. Having won that, most of us just thought that we had achieved our goal and it does not matter much if we win the Cup or not.
Never-the-less, U.Sekhar (547) had a bright idea; the final would be watched on giant screens at Waltair Club.

Some 12 of us reached the club at 2PM to reserve the best seats. The arrangements made there were fantastic, with 3 huge screens in a huge AC Hall with a capacity to hold around 500 people. And each was given a whistle to make merry. The atmosphere was electric as often said by Ravi Sastri. Naturally, when you are in that atmosphere, one would automatically get electrified himself.

To Form a Team

KKR had a busy day today. He was given a deadline of 6 P.M. to prepare and submit a list of probable ministers for his cabinet to the High Command (read Madam). Madam will then have the final say and select the ministers to assist KKR in making our lives a bit more livable. The fate of 8 Crore ‘Aam-admies’ of Andhra rests on the most powerful lady in India. The ever bearing Goddess of the Congress party. Of course, she will be assisted by the future Prime Minister of our country, who had a magical affect on the electorate in Bihar recently, Gulam Nabi Azadm who was kicked out of Kashmir and our favourite Veerappa Moiley who is as domineering in the party as the statue at Gomateshwar.

Saikorian Radia Tapes

Radia Tapes

Niira Radia the high profile PR lady had a stint with some of our Saikorians too. She was lobbying for the successful conduct of Golden Jubilee of our School. So, when the CBI had to submit those taped conversations of her with many Politicians, Corporates, Bureaucrats and Journalists, these few tapes were left behind with them, because they were not relevant to 2G scam. I had to fish them out with great difficulty. I am presenting them to you to see how things are run. Those, who see humour, will see humour, those who don’t, I don’t care.

Letter to BCCI

Dear Sir,

Sub:     Proposal for Joint Venture participation.

Modern Day Saikorian

It was a cold winter morning. I was awakened by a jingling mobile phone beside my bed. The tune says “Hey Abba, Hey Abba” and it is continuing to ring when my neighbour puts it off and goes back to sleep. I too activated an alarm at 5.30 A.M on my mobile, but his time was a minute faster, so I too went back to sleep not to loose that minute. Then my phone alarm went off. It was very loud and it can be heard upto 50 feet. The Tune for the Alarm is “Get up, Get up it is time for P.T.”

Great Economic Discovery

I am happy to announce that I had discovered something that will have a great impact on Indian Economy. If my discovery is used in the right manner, there will be no more poverty and the divide between Rich and poor will drastically reduce to a minimum. I had the opportunity to present my papers in “Symposium on Economic Breakthroughs in Developing Countries.”  At Greater Noida this month, Mr. Ahulwalia and Mr. D.Subba Rao were on the stage when I presented my paper.

Nobel Prize to a Saikorian

Many of our Saikorians have achieved great heights; to list a few of them
Mr.D.Subba Rao (117) is now Governor of RBI, the highest ranking Government official amongst us Saikorians.
Wg Cdr MIK Reddy (1267) was awarded the highest Civilian National Adventure Award the TENZING NORGAY Award ( on lines with the ARJUNA AWARD ). For his role & contribution in the field of SKY DIVING.
Mastan Malli Babu (2136) was the first person to conquer all seven highest summits in seven continents in record time. He didn’t stop at that and he is still creating many new records.
There were many Saikorians who fought for our country in IPKF in Sri Lanka and Kargil war. And some have laid down their lives for the country, which I feel is the highest sacrifice one can make.

Being a GJC committee Member

Being a part of organizing a mega event like our GJC was a very tasking job. Thankfully, as I see it, the celebrations have been concluded very well. And many of us have sighed in relief. This was exemplified by a phone call to me the day after the gathering from Niranjan. “It is all over. Sir”, which was followed by a ‘whooosh’ sound, it was his long exhaling of breadth. His sigh of relief.
Anyway, this event of this size and importance will not come anywhere in the near future. But it would be a good idea for all the organizing committee to sit down once and contemplate if this could have been organized better. Please don’t mistake me that I am denying the credit to those who have worked hard to make it happen. But as a professional group, it would be better to discuss and put on record, what could have been done better. This would help the future generations in better planning and execution of such events much later. As of now, I do not want to start making comments or suggestions, because it would be taken negatively. It can only be done when it is decided to officially mull over the whole thing.

History Repeats

Hallo every one! It’s been a long time since I wrote to you. But suddenly, last night I found myself all alone, with nothing to do, in the open; under the sky with stars twinkling; clouds running past like the soldiers of the fifth brigade.
It was a rare moment. I can’t remember the last time I experienced this bliss.
That was when my thoughts went back to our school days.
