Great Economic Discovery

I am happy to announce that I had discovered something that will have a great impact on Indian Economy. If my discovery is used in the right manner, there will be no more poverty and the divide between Rich and poor will drastically reduce to a minimum. I had the opportunity to present my papers in “Symposium on Economic Breakthroughs in Developing Countries.”  At Greater Noida this month, Mr. Ahulwalia and Mr. D.Subba Rao were on the stage when I presented my paper.

My paper was very simple and I did not go into the nitty gritty of world economics. My theory was based on a very simple action that even a poorest of the poor can implement and derive the maximum advantage and help in improving our economy. I just made a passing reference to the challenges in front of us to achieve sustained and planned economic reforms. These include:
1.    Maintaining fiscal discipline.
2.    Orientation of public expenditure towards sectors where we are faring badly such as health and education.
3.    Reforms in labour laws to generate more employment.
4.    Reducing agriculture’s dependence on monsoon by developing means of irrigation.

In the past 15-20 years, India has seen some excellent growth and progression in its economic situation. Current affairs point to continued growth, and has been the second fastest rising large economy. However, there have been a few glitches like rampant corruption and political turmoil in the country. But my discovery will wipe out all the problems facing our economy like a magic wand. It will greatly help the 70% population that lives in the villages with a large disparity in the standard of living. The prices of all commodities will fall so drastically that Mr. Ahulwalia’s Rs.32/- per day will look outrageous and funny, when an Indian can live a posh and luxurious life with that amount. It is said that improving people's lives and making them feel secure should be the "fundamental ends" of economic transformation. I dealt with an ambitious goal for growth, also pledged to enhance efforts to save energy and resources and build an environment-friendly society. My report, highlighted "sound" development ahead of "fast development," for the first time, indicating the resolution to look to sustainable development instead of mere pursuit of rapid growth at the cost of high energy consumption and a widening gap between rich and poor.
Perhaps intelligent people like me have not been heard earlier and an intelligent idea is really about exciting experiments in the imagination. Now that is fun, to implement my discovery in Indian economics, our Government will require a strong will.
My discovery is simple as I said earlier. So simple that many of you may even laugh at it. But let them.
My discovery is that if we dip our shaving blade in hot water before we shave, we can enhance its life by more than 4 times.
Now it is upto the economic think-tanks to apply my great discovery in reviving our economy.
